Ravines Col de Rousset

He disappeared in the middle of the afternoon; several witnesses had seen him walking alone through the village. Despite massive searches lasting months — gendarmerie, dogs, helicopters, volunteers — nothing. Bones and belongings identified as his were found in a steep area not far from the village, in the mountains. The head was discovered separately, fuelling much speculation. The investigation is still ongoing. The exact cause of death has not been made public. No charges have been filed to date.
